New York West Bakery & Cafe | Our Story
Baked fresh daily since 2000
New York West Bakery & Cafe started as one neighborhood shop in Sun City, Arizona, built on a single set of recipes and a stubborn refusal to cut corners. Over two decades later, nothing about that has changed.
The recipes
The recipes were set in 1999 and haven't been modernized since — the bagels are still boiled, the pies are still hand-latticed, and the butter is still real.
Before sunrise
Bakers arrive before 5 AM so the case is full by opening. Black and white cookies, rugelach by the pound, flaky turnovers — all fresh before most people are out of bed.
A full counter
The bakery case is just the start — the kitchen also turns out cooked-to-order breakfasts and deli-style lunches seven days a week. Pancakes, omelets, stacked sandwiches, and soup made from scratch.
Sun City, seven days
There's one location, on Grand Avenue in Sun City, open every day from 7 AM to 3 PM. Come in, grab a stool, and order something real.
